Russian Hill Summit (1999)

Russian Hill Summit (1999)

Sitting on the crest of Russian Hill in a historic district on a cul de sac, San Francisco Architect Ed McEachron worked carefully within the tight confines of having to respect three separate lots each zoned Rh-2 in order to get the needed six unit project. The property had a long history of neighborhood acrimony with a previous developer whose permits expired. I acquired the property saddled with a pending abatement action by the City and litigation. Key to project approval was a large and complex underground garage that crossed not only the three property lines of the development but two neighboring properties and the public right of way. Several impacted neighbors without garages found the project quite palatable when parking for their garage-less home was offered. Nibbi Brothers Construction built the underground concrete garage. Kevin Webb Construction, Inc., was the general contractor.
